This club is for young creators and budding entrepreneurs. Our two-hour weekly club brings a small group of 9-12yos together to create, connect, and have fun! We make art and figure out clever ways to share it (safely) with the world through online merchandising, digital media and other current technologies.
This club intends to foster good problem solving skills, creativity, self-direction, respectful communication, curiosity and friendship.
Our club meets once a week for two hours, in person at the Coney Island Clubhouse, a learning center for homeschoolers in south Brooklyn. A small group of 2-4 learners work with Jenny Markus, cofounder of Coney Island Clubhouse, to explore our imaginations and share our creations.
It is great if your learner has a tablet or laptop accessible. If not, no worries. We’ll be doing much of the digital work together IRL =). Occasionally, we can agree to do a meetup virtually (and practice using some of those web conferencing skills) but preference is for in-person meetings and connections.
